Beginner French — Foundations
No prerequisite required. This class is designed for complete beginners, returning learners, and students who have studied French before but never became conversational. Even if you have used apps for years or learned French in the past, this level is where most students begin.
In this 12-week small group class (9 classes), students build a strong foundation in French through a clear, logical method that demystifies the language and makes its structure understandable step by step.
Students learn:
• Essential pronunciation to be understood
• The core structure and syntax of French
• How to form simple, correct sentences
• Reading through short conversations and descriptive texts
• Guided oral practice with simple exchanges useful for travel and daily life
There are no random vocabulary lists to memorize. Vocabulary is acquired naturally through structure, repetition, reading, listening, and use in context.
Students receive corrections during speaking, personalized guidance, reviews along the way, retention systems, accountability, and learning strategies that help create long-term progress and discipline. Students also write their own sentences based on the
structures studied in each lesson, and those sentences are individually corrected to reinforce accuracy and understanding. By the end of Lesson 9, students begin their first real guided conversation in French (listening and speaking). As students learn the language, they also naturally acquire cultural understanding, expressions, ways of thinking, and real-world communication habits connected to everyday life in French speaking cultures.
